Our rustic reclaimed Belgium Oak console table is undeniably extraordinary and unique and it has taken the greatest pride to time consumingly make this beautiful piece from the heart to give you a one of a kind console table where no two pieces will ever be exactly alike from the variations in texture, colour, grain of wood, to the natural shape of the wood, the spent shells as well as attention to detail . Using a 45mm thick piece of reclaimed Belgium oak originally used on french railways dating back many years with the original bolt holes and still displaying the blackened dust which has over time deeply embedded into the grain of the wood.

We have cut the sleeper in half through the centre and separated the two pieces leaving a centre channel to embed rows of spent shells, and depending on the size of the shell there are approximately four rows of spent shells making up the width of the channel which runs through the length of the table and is stacked up to four rows high equating to around 640 spent shells that have been hand cut and embedded carefully with epoxy resin layer upon layer.

The finished result is a gorgeous oak and resin console table with a live pour that looks like glass with a channel through the centre containing spent shells viewed from the top of the table as well as viewed through each end of the table even the underside of the table has exposed spent shells layered in resin. The original bolt holes (normally two to four of them )have also each been filled with a spent shell which adds interest to this beautiful unusual piece and if you look carefully you will find a small embossed stag head in one of the corners of the console table.
The legs are black metal hairpin style for that sleek and streamlined overall look mixing the old with the new.
