Burns to hands present additional complications. The skin between fingers can adhere together, leading to webbing.  This can result in a long and complex recovery, including skin grafts.  Avoiding this is crucially important in the first aid treatment of burns to hands.

The CoolTherm™ ‘Glove’ hand dressing (fig.1) is a unique design, made from a non-woven carrier dressing that is very soft, gentle and highly conformable.

The ‘Glove’ includes unique finger separators to prevent webbing (fig.2). The gel saturated mitt is easily donned, immediately covering all digits with soothing, cooling gel, and provides immediate analgesic effects to the casualty.

The fingertips are easily accessible for observation (fig.3), as are the thumb and small finger.  The mitt can be easily removed, by lifting it back, or cutting away.
